In the beginning of creative steps

During his studies he acted in several plays highly estimated by critics. Amongst them there are Soliony of A.Chekhov's "The Three Sisters" and Beglar Djincharadze in D. Kldiashvili's "Hardship of Kamushadze".

The premier of this comedy didn't take place due to the tragically events in Tbilisi on 9th April in 1989. As a result of applying chemical and poisonous substances the institute of theatre was closed in order to eliminate consequences of the tragedy.
In 1989 on 4-5 of May at a students festival in Vilnius the plays "Hardships of Kamushadze" and "The Three Sisters", were shown by great triumph.

During for eight years I was an actor of Mardjanishvili Theatre, there was held as a director's christening. This theatre was, is and will remain my delight, love and a pain. Even today, I perceive everything as a member of this glorified troupe.

In 1989 Dimitri Khvtisiashvili entered a troupe of the theatre named after Kote Mardjanishvili. Debut of the actor took place on 29th September in 1989, when he played Ralph Obi at Shakespearean "Flagstaff".
Dimitri Khvtisiashvili worked at the theatre for six seasons. During this period he played main, principal, and even episodic roles, in which secondary his bright talent and extraordinary theatrical skills and voice were reflected. The critics considered Dimitri Khvtisiashvili as one of the most gifted young dramatic actors in Georgia.

A critic has ambiguously estimated work of the debutante. Actor's staff was also very interesting. In "Hardships of Kamushadze" a famous actress Helena Kipshidze was awarded the preemie for the main female role named after Veriko Andjaparidze, which is entrusted to actresses only.

As Dimitri Khvtisiashvili speaks in direction he was mostly interested in the fact what the author means behind an each line of his play and ability to an individual reading of the dramatic art. Further it became a basis in Dimitri Khvtisiashvili creativity and each of the dramatically works put by him reflected his own vision of events in the play.

In this sense all his subsequent staging are noteworthy, especially during his activities at Zugdidi's theatre and in Tbilisi afterwards.
After the premiere at the Mardjanishvili theatre from the November 1995 Dimitri Khvtisiashvili was invited as a director of Zugdidi State Theatre named after Shalva Dadiani where since March 1996 he was appointed the main director and since July 1996 he became the art director of the theatre where he worked till January 2001.

Among them there is Jaba Ioseliani's "Visitor", A.Ostrovski's drama "The Profitable place", the play of Sam Shepard "The Buried child" and the play of a well-known Georgian playwright Tamaz Chiladze "Interpretation of dreams".

I have taken a great interest in pedagogies even then, when I was a student myself. After graduation from the Theater Institute, I was offered to me to stay on directors department, as the teacher of actor's skill. An actor's career and a six-year operational experience of the theatre work, for me became a creative test and some kind of a springboard in comprehension of direction and works with actors. But now I shall not refuse interesting offers.

In the work with his students the director has reported to forget about itself and will be given to training of the future actors. Dimitri Khvtisiashvili is the actor family, he understand the actor very well and knows how to learn the student to present theirs tasted.

On December 1999 in Theatre Institute was held the premiere at the student Performans "Premiere" by Lali Roseba's play. Director Dimitri Khvtisiashvilis. This course work of a student has drawn the attention of spectators and the critics. Despite of youth of actors they can show high skill and professionalism, to create of depth human experiences and many hard of life unwrapped on a stage. Course the good performance means the good director land organizer and such director who hey appeared at, as is Dimity Khvtisiashvili, who worked with his students, with huge love and diligence.

The spontaneity and simplicity characteristic for the director was showed also in statement of performance "The Sun of love" by Lali Roseba's play. For the director life leaves neither sense of humor nor the serious reflections about life. But the most important that performance is put in theatrical institute and is acted it by students. At Dimitri Khvtisiashvili's a huge talent is that he can make so, that his students play as the present professional actors, to show all opportunities.

"When you work with your students, must reported to forget about itself and will be given to training of the future actors". Dimitri Khvtisiashvili is the actor, he understand the actor very well and knows, how to teach the student to present theirs tasted.
