"A night and a parrot"
For
me the play "A Night and A Parrot " is the play about
the broken love, the destroyed dreams, how far are dreams from
reality. In spite of the fact, that the hero of the play the
talented poet, writes poem, conducts diaries, writes sketches, he
could not find his own place in the society. His broken love
makes him to think about killing himself. Though a degree of
moral decay of a certain persons it is so high, that he can't
fulfil it.For me the hero of the play is a symbol of generation whose youth has passed through the war, has gone through moral decay and values. This generation don't see a fright light in future.

For today's in Georgia is not much people who can challenge popularity at Duta Skhirtladze. His big popularity was brought by the show "Who wants to be a millionaire". Mainly Duta Skhirtladze is the gifted actor with strongly pronounced theatrical character. But the myth about his comedy character has dissipated, when he acted the mono spectacle (by Dimitri Khvtisiashvili's) performance "A Night and A Parrot", staged in "Veriko" theatre.
The director Dimitri Khvtisiashvili's main success is that he has completely flues into the actor. Also his main success is, that he can pregerted the talented actor in absolutely new theatrical character and the next success is a sound effects which belongs to the director.
